Are you truly vulnerable?

Are you Truly Vulnerable?

I had a breakthrough when I finally realized that my guy was my best friend and I could tell him everything that bothered me without feeling anxiety about it.

This took years to do and push past the feelings of fear and anxiety. I feel this is what really helps bring the relationship past many roadblocks and obstacles. When you are able to wholeheartedly communicate with your partner and discuss your feelings without feeling any kind of apprehension.

Many of my own friends and certain family members have not been able to be this open and honest with themselves and their partners to have their needs met.

Being vulnerable and allowing your truth to come out is the most amazing experience for a relationship. It creates a type of intimacy no sex with a partner can. Sex is a physical act, it can only create a certain type of intimacy but having emotional intimacy with someone is what brings the relationship to a whole new level. You love and respect each other and are able to communicate in a way that is healthy and validating.

Being vulnerable always gets thrown around, and a lot of people associate it with weakness, fear, and a sense of egoism. “Oh I can’t be vulnerable that’s not who I am!” “I can’t show them how I feel or discuss certain things that bother me, it lessons me, it makes me weak!” This is wrong and does nothing to help create a healthy emotional foundation with your significant other.

Allow some vulnerability to create healthy trust and emotional growth. Healthy people know how to communicate to reach their partner’s and gets their needs met. This doesn’t matter if you’re a woman, a man, a couple that has been married a long time. People who know how to communicate in a healthy way get their needs met. Bottom Line. You grow together, you share experiences together, and precious moments in this way.

Lets allow some vulnerability, in your love relationships of course and allow for some healthy emotional growth and intimacy.

All the best,

Love always Esty, Love and Relationship Coach
